As events relating to the murder of George Floyd continue to unfold around the world and right here in Pittsburgh, BlastPoint stands in solidarity with our partners, friends, colleagues & neighbors in condemning violence against People of Color.
Our company was founded on the notion that data tells a human story, and when it comes to police brutality against the Black community, the data doesn’t lie: the story is one of suffering, loss, injustice, and heartache.
We recognize the deep sadness, fear, anger and grief that African-Americans suffer at the hands of continued systemic racism and police brutality.
As a nation, we must do better.
Dismantling white supremacy will be a long road ahead. It will take each and every one of us, committing to endeavor in hard work; both within ourselves and alongside one another, so that, one day, we may achieve real racial justice.
Many of us will need time and space to reflect, listen, and begin to understand the pain that our friends and neighbors have long endured. But now is the time to speak out in denouncing racism, and to take action in support of the Black community.
One small step in that direction is offering financial support to Black-led organizations so that they may be better equipped to continue their work. BlastPoint is donating $1,000 to the Black Business Relief Fund, and if you, too, are feeling moved to action but aren’t sure what to do right now, please consider joining us in making a contribution to one of the organizations below:

Thank you, everyone, and stay safe.
