With brand messaging a key focus here at BlastPoint, we value the expertise of professionals across industries to help us shape our marketing strategy. We’re not like some other data companies: we come from diverse backgrounds, bringing unique knowledge from a wide array of sectors beyond tech, including the arts, psychology, and business.
That’s not a coincidence. We like having a breadth of experience to shape the way we relate to customers. It helps us understand, holistically, what interests and pain points drive human decision making across cultures and industries—which helps us decide how to carve our best path forward.
As BlastPoint matures and we evolve as a team, we strive to continue this diversity of thought, so we go about hiring very intentionally. Mostly we want to work with folks who can pivot easily. Walk into a room, quickly assess what needs to get done, roll up their sleeves and just do the work. (We find parents to be superb at this.)
Of course, demonstration of leadership skills and chemistry with the team remain high priorities. That’s why we are thrilled to announce that Marianne Holohan – writer, researcher, and team facilitator – has joined the BlastPoint family to manage our Marketing and Communications team.
Marianne brings years of team training, strategic communication, teaching, editing, research, and legal writing experience with her to the position. With a background in English literature and immigration law, she has designed courses and manuals; organized, guided and trained staff; led complex case management of issues surrounding immigration; taught college-level courses; and facilitated communications among various departments within corporate and academic institutions. She’s also the mom of Finn (6) and Violet (4), which means she has a lot of experience creating order out of chaos.
We are honored to have her on board to lead our marketing team. Welcome, Marianne!
