With a deep well of DevOps expertise, Joe Sadaka brings essential problem-solving and software architecture skills to BlastPoint as a Data Engineer. Please join us in welcoming him!
2021 will go down in history as The Year We Supercharged Our Engineering Team. Today we are bigger, bolder, stronger and more knowledgeable than ever. So we’re asking you to join us in celebrating one of the reasons BlastPoint’s new-and-improved customer intelligence platform, set for release very soon, is going to be so incredible: Joe Sadaka, BlastPoint’s newest Data Engineer. Please help us in welcoming him to the team.
Meet Joe Sadaka
Joe has been working tirelessly since March to automate and formalize ETL, improve our software platform’s data refresh capabilities and perform essential data preparation our customers need.
“With a small, growing company that needs brand new solutions,” he explains of his new role with BlastPoint, “I get to take a high level of ownership in determining the architecture and outcome of what those solutions look like.”
We continue to be amazed by the caliber of his work each day.
“Joe is a highly accomplished coder,” says CEO Alison Alvarez. “It’s easy to see he’s very good at getting to the heart of problems and looking for solutions, and that’s the kind of engineers we need. He’s meticulous and has demonstrated he’s got a deep toolbox in DevOps and infrastructure. We’re thrilled to have him on board.”
Prior to joining BlastPoint, Joe worked for Uber ATG in the AVMaps department. Before that, he launched his career as a business management consultant in the Supply Chain field, where he worked with enterprise-integrated business software to optimize supply chain planning.
“Out of necessity,” he says, “I became an expert in that particular software and the associated data interfaces. This was my gateway into software and data engineering.”
This is the kind of independent-thinking and problem-solving we value here today. That he’s already well-versed in some of the areas we do business is icing on the cake.
When Joe isn’t plugging away on the keyboard for BlastPoint, you’ll find him hiking, fishing, cooking on the grill or working on side software projects just for fun. He loves hanging out with his family and two adorable, senior rescue dogs, Klaus and Scout.
